ANNUAL ART AWARDS 2008

 

 

The Judge
RON STANNARD FRAS, AWI, ASMA

Born in Sydney in 1934 Ron paints in oil and watercolour. He commenced work in advertising in 1949 involving graphic design, illustration and art direction.

Ron studied part-time at the National Art School from 1951 to 1954. He has undertaken painting and study tours to Central Australia, Tasmania, France, Italy, Britain and Canada.

Ron has been an exhibitor for many years winning many awards and prestigious prizes, and is regularly invited to judge art competitions in Sydney and country areas of NSW as well as tutoring at workshops and painting demonstrations for many NSW art societies. A teacher of oil and watercolour, RAS NSW and appointed Director of the Art School in 1996.
