MOORE PARK RESERVE, Hurstville Grove. Going north on King Georges Road turn left to Hurstville Road, left to West St, right to Seymour St. Street parking. Views include water recycling wetlands walking track, native birds, trees. There would be tree shade on far side of park.

August 29, 2010
Steyne Park, Double Bay. Turn off New South Head Road into Ocean Avenue, then right into William Street. Lots of boats, beach and Double Bay.

CENTENNIAL PARK: meet at the sandstone ridge on the Grand Parade near the restaurant.

October 31, 2010
BALMAIN WHARF and DARLING STREET. Turn into Darling Street from Victoria Road and proceed all the way to the end. Plenty of 4 hour parking.

CARRS PARK. Lots of views, plenty of parking, even a heated pool if that's what you would prefer. Meet at 8.00am.

 
 
Do you like being in the open air, meeting friendly people and your not afraid of being watched while you paint? Then the Plein Air Club is for you.
 
Weather permitting, the club meets for 3-4 hours on the last Sunday of each month at various locations, generally within 10 kilometres of the Kogarah School of Arts. Check out the dates and locations in the right hand column.
 
The objective is primarily to learn and to have some fun. The pictures below tell the story.
 

 
 
  

LOCATIONS

  • Long Bay, Matraville. Anzac Parade, left to Austral St, left to Napier St, right to Prince Edward St, left to Howe St, left to Bay Parade past entry to Randwick Golf Course.
  • Bicentennial Park, Rockdale. West Botany Street, lots of parking.
  • Moore Park Reserve, Hurstville Grove. Going north on King Georges Road turn left to Hurstville Road, left to West St, right to Seymour St. Street parking.
  • Dolls Point, Georges River Sailing Club car park. This location is adjacent to Peter Depena Reserve. The car park is at end of Sanoni Avenue, off Clareville Av off Russell Av off Rocky Point Rd.
  • Waterhouse Camellia Gardens, Caringbah: corner Kareena Road and President Ave.
  • Botany Container Terminal: turn off Botany Road into Penrhyn Road, parking lot at the end
  • Centennial Park: between the Lily and Duck Ponds
  • Sir Joseph Banks Park: Tupia Street, Botany
  • Riverine Park Wetlands: turn off West Botany Street, Banksia
  • Brighton Le Sands: the foreshore near Bay Street
  • Tempe Reserve: turn off Princes Highway into Holbeach Avenue, parking lot near sports facilities
  • Waterhouse Camellia Gardens, Caringbah: corner Kareena Road and President Ave.
