PROFILE
Larissa graduated from St George TAFE with a Certificate in Fine Arts and Appreciation. She has also participated in numerous workshops at the Mitchell School of Creative Arts, Bathurst, and attended creative art courses at the Brett Whitley Studio and the Woollahra Arts Centre. Larissa's inspiration has come from the philosophy of contemporary artists such as Paul Klee, Marc Chagall, James Gleeson and Wassily Kandinsky. Larissa's achievements include 5 times winner of the St George Art Society Contemporary Art Award, as well as the Walter Bennett Award, 10 highly commended awards, 7 commended awards and People's Choice Award. She has also won awards in the Drummoyne Art Society and was Artist of the Month at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery in 2004. She has appeared in articles in the St George Leader newspaper and Artist Palette magazine (#57 2008). Larissa has held solo exhibitions at the Westpac Royal Exchange Branch, Bondi Pavilion, Brighton Gallery, The Painted Moon Gallery, The Arthouse Hotel and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Larissa's work is the creation of fantasy which lies beyond our world and the journey to unknown destinations. |
