PROFILE
Jenny’s work is symbolic, evocative, and features many dramatic, expressive forms. Extensive use is made of Ying and Yang; positive and negative spaces. Natural and abstract patterns are also featured, to stir the intellect and awaken passion in the viewer. In China she was a professional artist, teacher and designer in Shanghai. Since arriving in Australia in 1989, Jenny has completed a Master of Art degree at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney. As a professional artist, she has specialised in portraiture, sketching, design, and printmaking. She was awarded a high commendation in the Traditional Painting Show at the Liverpool Powerhouse Museum 2001, and was the winner of the logo design competition for the Hurstville DISCOVERY Festival of the Arts 2004.
